Clarity Starts Here
Telehealth Psychotherapy for Adults Throughout Illinois
There’s a particular quiet that settles in when you finally stop performing for a minute.
The room dims a little. A candle has been lit somewhere. Your breath, which has been shallow all day, reaches the bottom of your lungs for the first time.
That’s the room I want to bring to you, wherever you log in from.
You can exhale here.
David* built it all from the ground up: the career, the income, the life that looks exactly right from the outside. Nobody at work would guess. His family sees someone who provides, who shows up, who handles things.
But his mind won’t quiet. Thoughts loop without resolving.
A low hum of dread that something bad is about to happen, even when nothing is wrong.
He’s always been the one in control. Lately the control is slipping. He can’t focus the way he used to. Stress that used to roll off him now collects. He’s more irritable, less like himself. His body has been sending signals for a while; he’s been too busy to listen, until now, when it’s getting harder to ignore.
He doesn’t think of himself as someone who needs therapy. But he’s starting to wonder if something has to give.
Sarah* has a master’s degree, manages a team of twelve, and keeps everything running – at work, at home, for everyone around her. To the outside world she’s capable, accomplished, on top of it all.
Inside, it feels like 50 browser tabs open at once and none of them loading. When she focuses on work, home slides. When she pours into her family, something else falls behind. Even finishing things doesn’t bring relief. Everyone else seems to do this so naturally; for her it takes so much more.
Then she reads about ADHD in women; the late diagnoses, the masking, the invisible effort behind a life that looks managed. Something clicks into place. For the first time, there’s a name for what she’s been living with.
Diana* is tired. Not the kind of tired that sleep fixes. The kind that’s been building quietly for years: the effort it takes to get through a day that looks ordinary from the outside. From where everyone else stands, her life makes sense. A career, relationships, a routine that keeps things moving.
She shows up. She performs. She’s fine. Or that’s what she tells people, and most of the time she almost believes it.
But there’s a weight she’s carried so long she’s stopped noticing it’s there. A heaviness that settles in on Sunday evenings. A version of herself she catches glimpses of but can’t quite reach. She’s tried therapy before. It helped a little, but it always seemed to circle something without ever landing on it. She’s read about EMDR, heard something about ketamine therapy. Both sound different from anything she’s tried.
She doesn’t know exactly what she needs. She only knows that what she’s been doing isn’t enough anymore. And that she’s ready, finally, to go deeper.
David, Sarah, and Diana are fictional composite characters created to illustrate common experiences. They do not represent any actual clients.
Hi, I'm Maria.
I was raised at the intersection of psychology, spiritual practice, and the kind of transformational work most people only encounter much later, if at all. I’ve sat in retreats and in the presence of mindfulness teachers, and I came away believing something simple: transformation is a natural part of being human, not a rescue operation.
That belief sits underneath my clinical training, not in place of it. I’m trained in EMDR, somatic and polyvagal approaches, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, ACT, DBT skills, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, and the kind of investigative, depth-oriented work that treats you as a whole person with a history and a wiring all your own. I also speak Russian, if English isn’t the language your inner life lives in.
I have a long memory for the details of a person’s story, and I treat each one as singular. My goal isn’t for you to need me indefinitely. My goal is for you to leave here as your own therapist.
There's more to my story →I draw on a range of approaches and choose what fits you, not the other way around.
This work isn't just what I do. It's who I am.
Schedule a Free ConsultationDavid learns to quiet the noise and finally feel steady. Not because life got easier, but because he got stronger. The stress that used to accumulate now rolls off more easily. He thinks more clearly, follows through more consistently, and shows up more fully: at work, at home, and in pursuit of what actually matters to him.
Sarah stops working against her brain and starts working with it. She channels her creativity and energy into what she does best and builds systems that actually fit how she's wired. She finishes her week feeling accomplished, present, and proud of what she's built.
Diana finds what she's been circling for years and sets down the weight she carried so long she forgot it was there. The heaviness lifts. Joy returns. She moves through her days lighter, clearer, and more herself than she's felt in a long time.
You've spent a long time taking everything more seriously than the people around you seem to. Carrying more energy into ordinary tasks than anyone can see. That effort has been real, and it has been invisible, and you've been hard on yourself for needing it at all.
I'd like to offer you a place to set that down for an hour and be met as you are.
There's no pressure and no urgency. The consultation is free, and it's simply a conversation, the kind where your shoulders drop a little before we've even gotten to the hard part.
When you're ready, I'm here.
I'll respond within 24 hours.
